Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

What Is Extended Producer Responsibility?
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a plan of action focused at shifting the responsibility for end-of-life management of products and materials to producers. In India, EPR was introduced through the Plastic Waste Management Rules of 2016.

EPR helps create an effective, industry-driven scheme for plastic waste management ensuring prompt collection, waste reuse, recycling and disposal. It also incentives producers to become resource-efficient and manufacture low impact products

EPR involves setting up of collection mechanisms involving awareness, infrastructure, and associations with recyclers for environmentally sound disposal processes.

We develop an effective and efficient system that takes care of the collection, segregation, and transportation of the material to the waste disposal facility which is approved by the Central Pollution Control Board, for our clients. Targets and locations are taken care of.

We give an end-to-end solution for EPR Compliance which includes:

  • EPR plan submission
  • Recycler agreements
  • Destruction, Disposal certificate
